A 37-year-old driver died in a crash in Voorhees Township, New Jersey.

VOORHEES, N.J. (WPVI) -- A 37-year-old man died in a single-vehicle crash in Voorhees Township, New Jersey.

The accident occurred around midnight Saturday on the 600 block of White Horse Road and Hamilton Drive.

Police said William Bermudez, operating a 2011 Acura, was traveling eastbound when he veered off the roadway toward oncoming traffic, and struck a utility pole and several trees.

The impact caused Bermudez to be ejected from the vehicle, police said.

He was taken to Cooper University Hospital and pronounced dead.

A female passenger was taken to Virtua Voorhees for minor injuries.

The investigating is ongoing.
