Part of 17th St. in Center City reopens after hole repaired

CENTER CITY (WPVI) -- A busy stretch of 17th Street in Center City is finally back open.

Crews finished repairing a broken water line and patched up the road between Walnut and Locust Wednesday afternoon.

It was Monday night that a hole opened up underneath the street, causing the pavement to give way.

Part of 17th St. in Center City closed

Crews had to make it even larger to fix the issue.
