WILMINGTON, Del. (WPVI) -- Delaware State Police have identified a woman struck and killed on Route 202 in Wilmington.

Investigators say Princess U. Ibekaku, 29, of Wilmington, had just gotten off a DART bus and was trying to cross the northbound lanes of Route 202 when she was hit at 8:10 a.m. Wednesday.

Police say Ibekaku was in a crosswalk but apparently did not realize oncoming traffic had the green light when she was crossing.

The driver of the 2010 Dodge Avenger that struck her, Taleah N. Everett, 24, of Wilmington, pulled over immediately after the incident, police say.

She was not injured.

Ibekaku was taken to Christiana Hospital, where she was pronounced dead.

No charges were expected to be filed in the incident. However, police said the crash remains under investigation.

Route 202 North near Rocky Run Parkway was closed for about two hours as police investigated and crews worked to clear the scene.
