Pickup truck crashes, overturns on Woodhaven Road in Northeast Philadelphia

NORTHEAST PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- A crash involving an overturned pickup truck slowed traffic on Woodhaven Road in Northeast Philadelphia Tuesday morning.

It happened in the westbound lanes at 6:00 a.m. Tuesday near Academy Road.

Images from Chopper 6 HD showed the vehicle lying on its roof, blocking two lanes of the three-lane highway.

One lane of traffic was getting by the scene in the left lane.

Action News is told the driver was able to get out of the vehicle. Medics were evaluating that person at the scene.

There was no immediate word what led to the crash.
