SUMMERDALE (WPVI) -- Philadelphia police are looking for a hit-and-run driver who struck a 2-year-old boy then fled in the city's Summerdale section.

It happened after 2 p.m. Saturday near the intersection of Summerdale Avenue and Alcott Streets.

Police say the toddler was hit by a light blue Toyota Highlander with tinted windows.

Witnesses say neighbors came running when they heard screaming.

They were even able to get a partial tag number for police.

Medics rushed the child to St. Christopher's Hospital. He is listed in stable condition.
