Tractor-trailer overturns on I-95 in Delaware

A crash involving a pickup truck and a tractor-trailer slowed traffic on I-95 in Delaware.

CHRISTIANA, Del. (WPVI) -- A crash involving a pickup truck and a tractor-trailer slowed traffic on I-95 in Delaware.

It happened in heavy rain before 6:00 a.m. Monday in the southbound lanes near Route 1 in Christiana.

Police say the sides of the tractor trailer and the GMC Sierra collided, causing the pickup to spin into a jersey barrier.

The tractor trailer began to fishtail before overturning in the grass off the roadway.

Police have identified the driver of the tractor trailer as 64-year-old Robert Mucha of Levittown, Bucks County. The driver of the pickup is identified as Lonnie E. Brown, 55, of New Castle, Delaware.

No one was injured in the incident.

No charges have been filed.

Traffic was backed up approaching the crash site as police investigated and crews worked to clear the scene.
