Kicking off Labor Day weekend at the Jersey shore

OCEAN CITY, N.J. (WPVI) -- The end of the summer vacation season has arrived, and many families in our area are enjoying one last hurrah this Labor Day weekend at the Jersey shore.

"We need to be able to say, you know, 'Summer's over - at least we can spend the last couple of days here instead of at home,'" said Jen Heckler of Exeter, Pa.

"I'm excited for school to start, but I don't like that I have to leave the beach and stuff," said 10-year-old Matthew Heckler.

"It's nice," 9-year-old Delaney Flick told Action News. "It's always crowded, and there's a big boardwalk with lots of rides and food."
