They have traveled to more than 16 international spots, spanning 100,000 miles with luxury, five-star trips - for nearly nothing.

Summer Hill has a blog called 'Mommy Points' and she shares her tips on how her family of three takes high-end vacations for pennies on the dollar.

She says she's not an extreme coupon clipper or a super saver. However, she is a full-time frequent flyer and eagle eyed freebie hunter.

First, she says she has a dozen active credit cards that she swaps out for different purchases, like airline cards for flights.

She says she's traveled the world using bonus miles and points.

Sign up for dining rewards at your favorite restaurants and you can earn miles, and aim for elite status at hotel chains. If you remain loyal, you can qualify for free nights!

With those cards, Hill says use the stacking strategy. She explains it as adding a deal on top of a deal on top of a deal.

Use a credit card where you would normally pay cash - for, say, gas or groceries - then get money off of those essentials when you earn points.

Finally, shop online through airline 'shopping portals' for the things you need anyway, like essentials or gifts.

When you shop on sites like United Mileage Plus shopping, you earn miles!

For example, spend $100 at Sephora and you earn 1,000 United miles!
