Medford police say a travel agent was arrested on charges that she stole $45,000 from clients in South Jersey.

67-year-old Christine Hazelton ran an online travel agency out of her home called "The Independent Traveller."

Investigators say last year, she sold at least 8 people travel packages for an overseas trip called "Masterpiece Classics of the English Midlands."

Then Hazelton told them that the trips were canceled.

Police Chief Richard Meder said, "They basically told them the trip was cancelled and they would refund the money and the money was never refunded."

Hazelton faces theft and other charges.

She has been released while she awaits a court hearing.
