Uber now shows rider ratings in app
Uber is now showing rider ratings in the app. Alicia Vitarelli reports during Action News at 4 p.m. on May 1, 2017.

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Starting Monday, you won't be able to dodge your Uber rating.

By now many users of the popular ride-sharing service know that it's not just themselves doing the grading and now, when you open the app your rider rating will be right there on the main menu next to your name.

It's like your passenger report card.

Uber says it's all in the hopes of making the ride pleasant and efficient for both parties and it's all about mutual respect.

They say they found that "riders who view their rating tend to improve it."

Among the things that can knock points off your 5 point score is being late, eating in the car, slamming the door, or trying to pile in more people than seat belts.

Also, apparently a perfect 5-point score is really hard to obtain, so don't be too hard on yourself!
