VIDEO: Poll shows Corbett gains, Wolf with big lead
The latest 6abc/Franklin and Marshall College poll was released Wednesday.

The latest 6abc/Franklin and Marshall College poll released Wednesday shows Pennsylvania Governor Tom Corbett chipping away at challenger Tom Wolf - but Wolf still remains the front-runner.

Among likely voters in the survey, 53% supported Wolf, while 40% supported Corbett.

Five percent were undecided.

"This election could get even closer," said Dr. Terry Madonna, Director of the Franklin and Marshall College poll. "If Democratic turnout falls short and Republican can find a slight turnout advantage - if they could turn out more of their voters - they could make the election closer."

"But it would be historic if Corbett could come back from this kind of deficit," Madonna added.

Education and taxes are the issues that voters say are most important to them in the governor's race.

25% said schools are their top concern, while 16% said taxes.

Overall, the numbers continue to look dismal for Corbett.

Only 30% of Pennsylvanians think he's doing an excellent or good job. Only 34% believe he deserves a second term.

That's not to say the state is leaning toward Democrats overall.

Just 32 percent of registered voters think President Obama is doing an excellent or good job.

Election Day is next Tuesday, November 4th.
