Video shows pickup truck run down Ohio deputy

LICKING COUNTY, Ohio (WPVI) -- New video shows a terrifying end to a police chase in Ohio.

A deputy in Licking County was run over when he tried to stop a burglary suspect.

Amazingly, he was not seriously injured.

The incident happened last weekend, but police just released the dashcam video.

During the chase, speeds reached up to 100 miles per hour.

The suspects truck eventually spun out.

That is when the deputy ran toward the truck with his gun drawn. But the truck sped up, pinning the deputy to the ground.

Police were able to arrest the suspect, who they say was incoherent.
