WILMINGTON, Del. (WPVI) -- First responders performed a dramatic water rescue on the Brandywine River in Wilmington, Delaware.

The situation began on the river near North Park Drive after 6:30 a.m. Thursday.

A man became stranded on some rocks in the middle of the fast-moving river.

Rescue crews arrived on the scene.

The Action Cam was there as two rescuers made their way to the man, attached a harness and rope and helped him back across the river to safety.

Medics were evaluating the man at the scene.

There was no immediate word how he became stranded.
