PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) --TODAY: A cold morning with temperatures in the 30s gives way to a partly sunny, cool afternoon with a high of 53. Winds are lighter than yesterday.
TONIGHT: Mostly cloudy skies develop. It will be chilly, but not as cold as this morning. The low in Philadelphia is 41 and some suburbs dip to 37.
THURSDAY: We begin with plenty of clouds in the morning. Northern areas like the Poconos and Lehigh Valley could see some mixed precipitation early on before a change over to rain. After that, most of the day looks largely dry across the region, albeit cloudy. Eventually, late in the day or in the evening, showers move in with about .25" to .5" expected (not exactly a drenching rain, but wet). The high rebounds to 58.
FRIDAY: Rain likely ends before dawn, but we see a cool, gusty breeze behind the departing system with partly sunny skies and a high around 57.
SATURDAY: The track of the weak system passing through on Saturday has shifted to our north instead of coming right over us. This means a diminished threat for showers and more in the way of partly sunny skies. Temperatures will also be milder. In Philadelphia, the high is a slightly above-average 67. It looks like a great weather for Temple's 3:30pm game at the Linc.
SUNDAY: Late October warmth moves in, with our high soaring to 70 (higher if we hold onto a decent amount of sun in the early afternoon). Some late showers are possible ahead of a cold front.
MONDAY (HALLOWEEN): We have clouds mixing with occasional sunshine and a high around 64. Evening conditions for trick-or-treating look dry and seasonably cool for now, with temperatures in the upper 50's in most neighborhoods.
TUESDAY: We have a nice, partly sunny day with an afternoon high of 66.
WEDNESDAY: Look for a nice, mostly sunny afternoon with a high around 68.
