Morning sunshine gave way to increasing afternoon clouds. The high hit a mild 59, five degrees above average, with southwest winds ahead of an approaching cold front.

TONIGHT: Clouds increase. After midnight a cold front approaching from the west will interact with a coastal low developing off the Carolinas. This will allow for a period of rain to break out from I-95 metro area on eastward between 3AM and 9AM Its mild, with an overnight low of 49.

WEDNESDAY: Rain likely ends here in Philadelphia between 7AM and 8AM. In general, we are looking at 1/4" to 1/2" of rain. This will wet the roads for first thing in the morning, but returning sunshine and a northwesterly wind at 12-25mph will dry things out very quickly giving us a mainly weather free travel day. The high is 55, with temperatures falling off a bit during the afternoon.

THURSDAY (THANKSGIVING): It will be a cold start for parade-goers with sunrise temperatures near freezing. By noon, we'll only be approaching 40. However, it will be a mostly sunny day with winds probably light enough to allow for the big balloons to fly. Look for an afternoon high of 45.

FRIDAY: Sun will mix with a few additional clouds, but it's still a fairly bright day overall. The high improves to 53.

SATURDAY: We have a mix of clouds and sun with a sprinkle or very light shower possible, mainly at night. The high is 59

SUNDAY: Chilly air returns with a mix of clouds and some sun. The high is 45. Bundle up if you're heading to Lincoln Financial Field for the 1 p.m. Eagles game. Winds will gust near 30mph at times.

MONDAY: Mostly sunny with a cool high of 46.

TUESDAY: This looks like a partly sunny day with a mild high of 54.
