It was another day of bright sunshine, with a high soaring up to 74, nine degrees above normal. There was an enhanced threat of brush fires this afternoon as breezes picked up. The forest floors are very dry and humidity is low.

TONIGHT: Skies are clear again with a comfortable low of 54 in Philadelphia and the outlying suburbs dipping in to the mid- to upper 40s. Meteor showers will be occurring at night (about 20 per hour), so if the stars are out where you are, try to catch a glimpse!

SATURDAY: Sunshine mixes with a few high clouds, but it looks pretty bright overall. The high is a warm 76.

SUNDAY: Sun and high clouds mix once again. It's still dry and warm in the afternoon with another high around 74.

MONDAY: Sunshine mixes with clouds with a warm high of 77. It will be very mild for the Eagles' Monday Night Football game, with temperatures starting out in the low 70s and end in the upper 60s. So temperature-wise, it's a pretty nice night for late October football!

TUESDAY: Clouds build in with an arriving cold front, and we see periods of rain, some of which could be heavy, especially later in the day or at night. The high drops to 72.

WEDNESDAY: Look for mostly cloudy skies with a lingering shower here and there if the front is slow to depart the region. We have a cooler high of 66.

THURSDAY: Look for partly sunny skies with a seasonable, chilly high of just 62.

FRIDAY: This is another partly sunny day with a high around 69.
