VIDEO: Golfin before snow
The weather was so nice it was time to golf.

WEST WINDSOR, N.J. (WPVI) -- Before the snow, there was some golfing to be done in New Jersey.

"I've often thought about moving south just for this type of weather all year long. But when it comes like this it's a golden nugget," golf instructor Peter Palmisano said.

That's the perfect way to describe Monday's weather from golf instructor Peter Palmisano, who joined other duffers on the links - some wearing short sleeves - at the Mercer Oaks Golf Course in West Windsor.

A couple of days ago it was 17 degrees outside, today we were in the 70s.

"68 degrees today or 70 would be a little unusual, so I'm looking forward to just having a good day," Mitchell Medoff of Princeton, New Jersey said.

"I play golf all season. If 32 degrees I play golf, too. But this is a surprise for me," Vassili Takimano of West Windsor, NJ said.

"I think that when you have young kids at home you just try to take advantage of any day that's nice," Allison Miller of Lawrenceville, NJ said.

And this day would certainly qualify.

Brittany Murasky of Pennington, NJ was among the moms taking the little ones out for some fresh air at Mercer County Park and to run off some of that energy stored up staying inside during the cold.

"I will not complain, this is great. We were inside all last week. We recently moved back from California so we're used to being outside all the time, so this is awesome," Murasky said.

And back to our golf instructor Peter Palmisano: He's all about taking advantage of this brief and welcome reminder of what warm weather feels like.

"I can't get enough of this weather. I hope it stays like this, although we know what's going to happen in a couple days," Palmisano said.
