ALLENTOWN, Pa. (WPVI) -- A light snow blew in the air Wednesday night in Allentown.
The strongest punch of wintry weather was here, although most people would call it a glancing blow.
The plows were still working at 7:00 p.m. at the Lehigh Valley Mall.
Crews began manning the trucks earlier in the afternoon.
"We started at 12 p.m. so it's been like seven hours," said Jose Manzueta.
For homeowners and small business owners, shoveling the sidewalks could be back breaking at times - the snow that did accumulate was wet and heavy.
However, the roads held up fairly well with the help of a warm ground plus PennDOT treatment.
On one of the busiest travel days of the year, turnpike drivers had mixed emotions about this pre-holiday blast.
"This is a tough one. It's challenging to say the least," said Pat Bezek.
"I think it's beautiful, I like snow so - whatever," said AnnaMae Milora.
While the roads fared well, travelers are still urged to take precaution.
