STRAWBERRY MANSION (WPVI) -- Action News has learned that one of two men shot in the Strawberry Mansion section of Philadelphia has died.

The gunfire erupted at 9:40 p.m. Wednesday in the 2800 block of West Harold Street.

Officers arrived to find one man shot in the torso and another in the leg.

Thirty-two-year-old Saleem Mitchell was identified as the man hit in the torso. He was rushed to Temple University Hospital, where he later died.

The 25-year-old man who was hit in the leg was taken to Hahnemann University Hospital and remains in critical condition.

Police are working to determine who shot the men and why.
