Man sought in Washington Savings Bank robbery in Port Richmond

PORT RICHMOND (WPVI) -- Police are searching for a man wanted in connection with robbing a Washington Savings Bank in the city's Port Richmond section.

The incident happened around 9:45 a.m. Wednesday in the 2500 block of East Lehigh Avenue.

Police said the man presented a note demanding money and fled on foot traveling northbound on Belgrade.

The suspect is described as a white male about 5 foot 8-10 inches tall, weighing around 160 pounds. During the incident, he was seen wearing a dark blue hoodie and burgundy pants with pink stripes down the side.
