Suspect in custody in Wilmington home invasion, robbery

WILMINGTON (WPVI) -- Delaware State Police said a second suspect is in custody in connection with a home invasion-style robbery in Wilmington.

Thirty-year-old Andrew E. Allen, of Philadelphia was arrested on Tuesday in an unrelated investigation in Philadelphia.

Allen is facing multiple charges including first-degree murder, possession of a firearm and home invasion.

The incident happened around 1:30 p.m. on July 15 at a residence in the 1800 block of Foulk Road.

Police said Allen and another suspect confronted and robbed a 41-year-old man in his home at that location.

The victim sustained nonlife-threatening injuries.

Allen is currently being held at the Curran-Fromhold Correctional Facility in Philadelphia pending his extradition to Delaware.
