The DRPA kicked off its new discount program Tuesday for some commuters who frequent four of the bridges that span the Delaware River.

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- The Delaware River Port Authority (DRPA) kicked off its new discount program Tuesday for some commuters who frequent four of the bridges that span the Delaware River.

NJ E-ZPass holders who make 18 or more trips on any of the four DRPA bridges - Betsy Ross, Ben Franklin, Walt Whitman or Commodore Barry - within a calendar month can now receive an E-ZPass credit of $18 that will go toward trips made the previous month.

The program is currently available only to New Jersey E-ZPass holders.

The discount is offered to private accounts only and cannot be combined with other toll discount programs.

To take advantage of it, register online with the DRPA. You will need your four-digit pin.

You have to add the new discount plan to your New Jersey E-ZPass account by December 28th to receive credit for the month of December.

Again, the discount is currently available only to New Jersey E-ZPass holders.

Authorities say they will try to make the discount available to Pennsylvania E-ZPass holders by the beginning of 2016.
