Study: Diabetes drug may have anti-aging effects

We could be closer to finding the fountain of youth.

Scientists have the green light to see if a drug can slow down the aging process.

Metformin is currently used in people with type 2 diabetes.

But a recent study on worms found the drug caused them to age slower without wrinkles, and become healthier.

The FDA has now approved it for anti-aging trials to see if has the same effect in humans.

The testing is set to begin next year.
