Police: Man robs Lower Gwynedd Wawa, may be armed

Police in Montgomery County are investigating a robbery at a Wawa in Lower Gwynedd Township.

LOWER GWYNEDD TWP., Pa. (WPVI) -- Police in Montgomery County are investigating a robbery at a Wawa store in Lower Gwynedd Township.

The robbery occurred before 8 a.m. Sunday at the Wawa on the 700 block of North Bethlehem Pike.

Police say the suspect walked around the inside of the store for approximately two minutes and then approached the cashier.

He handed her a note demanding money.

Police say the suspect indicated he had a gun inside his jacket. The cashier reported seeing something black that she believed was a handgun.

The suspect fled with an undisclosed amount of money.

He is described as a white male in his late 20s, 5'11" to 6 feet tall, with scruffy facial hair and a thin-to-medium build.

He was last seen wearing light blue jeans, white sneakers and a dark hooded sweatshirt.

The suspect may have been driving a silver SUV.
