State parole officer among 6 hurt in Lincoln Dr. crash

FAIRMOUNT PARK (WPVI) -- Lincoln Drive is closed in both directions after a crash that left six people injured Tuesday afternoon.

The crash happened around 12:36 p.m. near Forbidden Drive, and reportedly involved three vehicles.

Two of the injured were trapped for a time in the wreckage and had to be removed by rescue crews.

All six were taken to various hospitals. One of the injured is said to be a state parole officer.

Police are still investigating what may have caused the accident.

Lincoln Drive was closed for a time while police investigated and crews worked to clear the scene.
