The Birds' shiny new acquisition is making his presence felt both on and off the field, giving the Birds added momentum heading into the 2022 season.

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Eagles football is back, people.

Expectations are high and the mood is light.

All is right with the world with football back in action.

I can tell you that this new-look Eagles squad seems really high energy and genuinely happy to be here.

It starts with the big-name offseason acquisition, A.J. Brown.

They say you never get a second chance at a first impression, and he absolutely NAILED it.

From offering DeVonta Smith pointers on the field.

Going to the team pro shop and buying fans his jersey.

Signing every single autograph for a group of giddy kids from a local youth football team.

And answering every question we asked in a genuine and entertaining matter.

Brown seems to be a perfect fit here in Philly.

Not to mention he and his quarterback, are already the best of friends.

You could tell these guys work so well together.

In fact, they both decided to show up at 6 a.m. on the first day to get a head start on things.

Brown said he even found a new play on Instagram, taught it to Jalen, and is going to have it put in the playbook.

Will Coach Nick Sirianni be cool with that?

Of course, he will. This is a player's coach.

He showed up on Day 1 wearing a t-shirt with his quarterback's face emblazoned on it.

A coach that stands by his players.

It was Hurts who took the most criticism and faced the most doubt heading into this training camp.

Brown and Sirianni, have come to his defense.

If Day 1 sets the tone, it was clear that this team belongs to Jalen Hurts and if not, Sirianni may have to get some new outfits.
