4 injured in crash on Route 1 in East Falls

EAST FALLS (WPVI) -- Four people were injured in an accident on Route 1 in the East Falls section of Philadelphia.

The crash happened just before 2 p.m.

Officials say a Verizon truck travelling southbound hit a bridge, and something was knocked off the truck.

That object fell and hit two vehicles.

Two people from each vehicle were taken to local hospitals.

None of the injuries were said to be life-threatening.
