Suspect sought in 3 Center City bank robberies

CENTER CITY (WPVI) -- The FBI and Philadelphia Police are asking the public's help in identifying a suspect wanted for three bank robberies in Center City, Philadelphia.

The first incident took place at the Beneficial Bank at 1600 Chestnut Street on July 27, 2015. The second robbery was at the Republic Bank at 1601 Walnut Street on October 7, 2015. And, most recently, on March 18 at the First Trust Bank at 1515 Market Street.

Police say in each robbery, the suspect passed a threatening demand note to a teller and, after receiving the cash, he walked away from the bank.

He is described as a white male in his 30's-40's, approximately 5'8"-5'9" tall, medium build, with 'scruffy' facial hair.

In each of the three robberies, he's worn a different baseball cap, and a pair of black sunglasses. He also favors hooded sweatshirts, basketball shorts, and sneakers.

Police say the suspect is armed and dangerous.

There is also a reward for information leading to the suspect's capture. Tipsters can remain anonymous.
