Preperations underway for the Chinese Lantern Festival

CENTER CITY (WPVI) -- An enormous Chinese Dragon's head now stands in Franklin Square.

The huge dragon was erected by crane at 6th and Race Streets Wednesday morning.

It was placed on a giant lantern, as part of the upcoming Chinese Lantern Festival.

The dragon measures 200 feet long, 21 feet tall and tips the scales at 18 thousand pounds.

The festival kicks off on April 22nd.
