Big improvements to local playground

KENSINGTON (WPVI) -- Some Kensington school children could soon have a cleaner and greener place to play.

Officials launched a fundraising drive to improve the schoolyard at Horatio B Hackett Elementary.

They're hoping to raise 1.4 million dollars to add more grass, outdoor classrooms and playground equipment.

Wednesday they unveiled the new entrance to the future schoolyard, which will also serve the surrounding neighborhoods.
