Stray bullet grazes man filling car with gas in North Philadelphia

NORTH PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- A man hit by a bullet survived with just a bruise after he was hit by a stray bullet in North Philadelphia.

The victim heard shots around 3 a.m. Thursday at the intersection of 24th Street and Lehigh Avenue.

Police suspect the bullet ricocheted off another object and hit the man.

The victim had bruising on his stomach.

Incredibly, the bullet was found in his shirt.

Police are investigating the incident.
