Driver hospitalized after crash in Mayfair

MAYFAIR (WPVI) -- Philadelphia police are investigating a crash in Mayfair.

It happened before 6:30 a.m. Monday on Frankford Avenue near Tyson Avenue.

Police tell Action News one driver was trapped after two vehicle collided.

Medics took the victim to an area hospital with multiple injuries.

There was no immediate word on that person's condition, or the number or extent of any other injuries.

Traffic was being detoured around the scene as police investigated and crews worked to clear the damaged vehicles.
