Police investigate accident involving officer in Mayfair

MAYFAIR (WPVI) -- Philadelphia Police are looking into an accident, involving one of their own, in the Mayfair neighborhood.

Chopper 6 HD was over the site of the crash around 10 p.m. Monday at the intersection of Frankford Avenue and Wellington Street.

Officials say a police cruiser, and a civilian's car crashed into each other.

So far, no word on serious injuries to anyone in either car.
