A 76-year-old woman is in critical condition after being struck by a SEPTA bus in the Chestnut Hill section of Philadelphia.

CHESTNUT HILL (WPVI) -- A 76-year-old woman has died after being struck by a SEPTA bus in the Chestnut Hill section of Philadelphia.

She has been identified as Elizabeth O'Malley.

The accident was reported around 4:30 p.m. Thursday at the intersection of Germantown Avenue and Gravers Lane.

Police say the Route L bus was traveling southbound on Germantown Pike and was attempting to turn onto eastbound Gravers Lane when it struck O'Malley.

She was rushed to Einstein Medical Center for severe head injuries. O'Malley succumbed to her injuries Tuesday afternoon.

A second victim, a 50-year-old woman, was also rushed to the hospital for hand and knee injuries. She is listed in stable condition.

The accident remains under investigation.
