KENSINGTON (WPVI) -- The Philadelphia Police Department works hard at fostering trust with the community, and many officers do so by having fun.

25th District Officer Anthony Carapucci and his partner, Officer Edward Heuser, are a case in point.

Officer Carapucci sent us this video on the Action News Facebook page.

Carapucci tells Action News the friendly game actually happened two weeks ago, but in light of the recent shootings, he wanted to share it with the public now.

It shows the police officers playing basketball with some neighborhood children in Kensington.

Carapucci tells Action News the friendly game actually happened two weeks ago, but in light of the recent shootings, he wanted to share it with the public now.

The officer said he wants the community to know that he, his partner, and his fellow officers are here to lift the community up and not tear them down.
