From T-shirts on the street to quirky gift shop finds, political purchases are being made left and right.

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- From T-shirts on the street to quirky gift shop finds, political purchases are being made left and right.

"Anything that has to do with humor, the socks, the Donald Trump socks," said Jody Smith. Visitors Center Store Director.

"When winter rolls around, these may feel very good to their feet!" said Khris Covey of Wilmington, Delaware, about a pair of 'Hillary' socks.

At the Visitors Center gift shop on Independence Mall you can find mugs, paper dolls and laughing pens.

And believe it or not, the best-selling T-shirt is one that says, "Presidential Election 2016 - Moving to Canada."

"They sold out in a few days. We still have people calling. We had one gentlemen who was here two weeks ago, someone stole it from him, and he wanted to order another one," said Smith.

On Independence Mall, a Hillary in the Box might amuse young political minds.

"It plays, 'Hail to the Chief.' How's that for guessing in advance?" said David Manzo, Hillary in the Box.

If you need to cool down at Reading Terminal Market, a "Chillary" iced coffee from Old City Coffee might help. For the sweet tooth, patriotic shortbread from Famous Fourth Street Cookies.

At Open House gift shop on 13th Street, cheeky DNC gifts have tourists popping in this week. From dog and cat chew toys to toilet paper, the aim is to lighten up what many would call a heavy election season.

"I think people are trying to curb their attitude in a humorous way because it's been a little intense for lack of a better term," said Jane Lee, Open House.

One thing that surprised many of the merchants we spoke to is the Trump merchandise has been selling just as well as the Clinton stuff.

And don't forget about Bernie Sanders - the Visitors Center says a lot of their Bernie gifts have been some of their best sellers and many of them are sold out.
