VINELAND, N.J. (WPVI) -- It could be called the whopper of good deeds.

A young girl from Vineland, Cumberland County is being commended for returning a lost wallet she found outside a Burger King with more than $200 inside.

Police say on Saturday night, Fran Nicolo and his 13-year-old granddaughter were walking into the fast food restaurant on the 300 block of North Delsea Drive when the girl noticed a woman's wallet in the parking lot.

The girl picked up the wallet and handed it to her grandfather.

Nicolo told his granddaughter they should go to the police.

The two then went to the Vineland Police Station and turned over the wallet.

Officer Gary Apel was able to contact the owner of the wallet after finding her ID.

Police say the owner responded to the police station and thanked the young girl for finding her wallet.
