Police car involved in multi-vehicle crash in Tacony

TACONY (WPVI) -- A Philadelphia police cruiser was involved in a multi-vehicle crash in the Tacony section on Thursday.

It happened at 11:47 a.m. on Tacony Street at Bridge Street.

Police say the driver of another vehicle ran a red light, causing a chain-reaction wreck.

The crash involved two other vehicles.

There were no injuries to police.

A 33-year-old man and a 30-year-old woman were taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

An investigation into this crash continues.
