Woman found dead inside Northeast Philadelphia apartment

NORTHEAST PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Police are investigating the body of a woman found inside an apartment in Northeast Philadelphia.

The incident happened on Saturday on the 3600 block of Red Lion Road.

Police say the woman in her 60s was found lying on the floor of her bedroom.

Her head was partially under the bed.

The victim's sister discovered the body after not hearing from the victim in more than a week.

Police are working to determine how the woman died.
