WINSLOW TWP., N.J. (WPVI) -- The Thanksgiving holiday started out with a terrible tragedy in South Jersey.
Two young people were killed in a head-on collision in Winslow Township just after 7 a.m..
Police say 23-year-old Joel Hutton crossed the center line while on Williamstown Road, striking another car.
Hutton's vehicle flipped on impact, tossing his 19-year-old passenger, Janiyah Conquest, onto a field.
Both were killed.
The driver of the other vehicle, 19-year-old Jillian Farrell, was seriously hurt.
