VIDEO: Hidden camera program aims to protect patients
Program designed to catch health care providers who mistreat patients.

Disturbing new video was released Thursday by New Jersey's Attorney General.

The surveillance videos show the abuse and neglect of patients by their home health care providers.

Attorney General Christopher Porrino hopes to help residents catch providers who treat patients this way with a new "Safe Care Cam" program.

The program loans hidden cameras to those who suspect abuse.

Officials say the cameras are hidden inside of everyday objects.

The cameras are motion-activated and store up to 8 hours of footage.
