Woman shot and injured on Wilmington street

WILMINGTON, Del. (WPVI) -- Police are investigating a shooting that left a woman injured in Wilmington, Delaware.

It happened around 8:30 p.m. Monday along the 600 block of 6th Street.

Officers responded to the area after a report of gunshots fired.

They arrived to find a woman with wounds to her upper body.

She was taken to the hospital for treatment. There is no word on her condition.

So far, there are no arrests.
