MANSFIELD TWP., N.J. (WPVI) -- New Jersey American Water has issued a boil water advisory in Mansfield Twp., Burlington County.

A 30-inch water main break underneath the Assiscunk Creek resulted in a loss of a water pressure.

The advisory was issued as a precautionary measure only for residents in Mansfield Township, with the exception of those living in the Homestead development.

This is a standard precaution that is taken whenever there is loss of pressure in our water mains.

There is no evidence of any contamination.

The main is being isolated and repaired and normal service will be restored to customers as soon as possible.

New Jersey American Water will provide information as to when the advisory is lifted.
