Cabrini officials investigate racial slur left on freshman's door. Christie Ileto reports during Action News at 11 p.m. on September 17, 2017.

RADNOR, Pa. (WPVI) -- Cabrini University is investigating a picture spreading across social media that shows racist graffiti written on a student's dorm room door.

Sennia Vann says she was coming home Saturday night from celebrating her sister's birthday when she noticed a racial slur directed specifically to her.

"As I'm opening the door, I see this slur that kind of faded right here," she said.

The note left on Sennia's door contained the racial slur preceded by the words "Go Away..."

Sennia says she was targeted.

"I am the only minority in this room. I was shocked, angry, confused as to why something would be written on my door."

Action News reached out to Cabrini and they released the following statement:

"The University is fully investigating this report, and takes our student safety seriously. Cabrini does not tolerate any form of hate speech or racist language, and our priority remains to ensure our students feel safe and supported."

Inside the campus' East Hall dorm, we spotted fliers posted in the hallways reading mandatory meeting, we're told to address the weekend incident.

While Sennia and her roommates were able to scrub the racial epithet off their door, she worries if there will be another incident, and if it will escalate to more than words on a door.

"I get a little bit emotional looking at this. I don't know if this will ever go away off the door. And every time I look at it, it will be a reminder of someone's hatred towards me because of the color of my skin," Sennia said.

Sennia tells us she did have an unpleasant encounter with another student a week earlier, but isn't sure if that person is behind the hate speech.
