Video shows man stealing donation jar from South Philly store

SOUTH PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Police are asking for the public's help tracking down a donation jar bandit caught on camera in South Philadelphia.

It happened on November 1 at 7:15 p.m.

Surveillance video shows the man walking into Porter Street Beverage in the 700 block of West Porter Street.

He brings an item to the counter, pays for it, then walks off with both the item and a donation jar that was placed on the counter.

Anyone who recognizes this thief is asked to contact the Philadelphia Police South Detective Division at 215-686-3013/3014.
