Police: Van collapses on tire thief, killing him

PITTSBURGH (WPVI) -- A man was killed as police say he was trying to steal tires in Pittsburgh.

It happened in the parking lot of the Community Empowerment Association.

Police say the man cut the fence and was trying to remove the tires from a van when it collapsed on top of him.

An employee found the man's body under the vehicle.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene.
