PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Exercise is good for many ailments and it may be especially helpful for people with Parkinson's Disease.

It's a neurological disorder that gets worse over time. But early research shows intense exercise may slow the progression of the disease.

Researchers believe high-intensity rather than just moderate exercise helps bring better blood flow to the brain.

They're setting up to do a large study to see if intense exercise should be prescribed as a treatment for early Parkinson's.
