SPRINGFIELD, N.J. (WPVI) -- A driver struck a pedestrian walking along a Burlington County roadway, police say.

It happened around 9:30 p.m. Sunday along Route 206 near Monmouth Road in Springfield.

The victim was taken to the hospital. The striking driver remained at the scene.

New Jersey State Police are investigating the crash.

The victim's condition has not been released.
