PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- In the final shopping days before Christmas, Eagles gear is flying off many racks, especially at a popular landmark store in Center City.

Sales this season of jerseys bearing the number and names of the current stars, and throwbacks jerseys to the glory days of the past have soared after this season.

Sales have doubled over 2016.

Rob Calabrese of Philly's Team Store said, "The fever has taken over people and definitely increased the sales."

Listening to Christmas gift shoppers from all over, swearing their allegiance to the Eagles, who many believe are super bowl bound.

Chris Jandoli of Haddon Township said, "We're expecting a big win this week. We're going all the way to the super bowl."

"I'm always pumped up even after all the years of disappointment. I've never been big on Eagles apparel. It's cold out, I need an Eagles hat," Dave Burns of South Philadelphia said.

And Burns told Action News, he thinks it's possible for the Eagles to win it all.

A lot of ladies were out shopping Friday for the men in their lives

Lisa Deluca of Turnersville, New Jersey was shopping for her husband.

"He grew up in South Philly, big Eagles fan, and he's so excited that they're doing well," she said.

One daughter, Stephanie Fritz of Northeast Philadelphia was shopping for her dad. She said, "Usually I go Flyers, but this year I go Eagles." When asked why? She said "because they're doing so well."
