Rick and Monica take the Ice Bucket Challenge for ALS awareness

Rick Williams and Monica Malpass finally made good on Cecily's Ice Bucket Challenge for ALS Awareness.

Jim Gardner accepted the dare a little over a week ago from actor David Boreanaz to do the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge and nominated Action News' very own Cecily Tynan, Ducis Rodgers, Jamie Apody and Vernon Odom.

Cecily accepted right away, nominating Rick and Monica.

On Tuesday the Action News at 5 co-anchors accepted the challenge, taking turns dumping each other with their buckets of ice water.

"Monica made sure I was fully drenched," Rick said.

The Ice Bucket Challenge is a viral effort to raise awareness and money for ALS, also known as Lou Gehrig's Disease.

Once challenged, participants have 24 hours to dump ice water on their head on donate to charity.
